FAQ’s
I have new readers. I’m sure they have questions. Guess what? I have answers. Sure I could take you on a wild goose chase and send to this blog or that blog to find the answers yourself. But really what kind of hostess would that make me? This isn’t really a do-it-yourself blog. No. Here, I live to serve and make your reading experience more enjoyable.
Let’s get down to Business Because inquiring minds want to know.
Why Ms Batman?
Simple enough. Because I’m not Mrs. Batman. Yet. I may never be Mrs. Batman, but I would like to be. Batman and I met in 2006, and we will both tell you, (ok he’ll only admit it if he’s pushed) that from the very beginning we knew this was different. This one was The One. What we didn’t know at the time was, it wasn’t The Time. We’ve been through a lot but we both believe that this is meant to be. We’ve just got a lot of stuff to do to make sure it lasts.
How did you and Batman meet?
We met on line believe it or not, on a dating website. August 2, 2006. I saw his profile, he saw mine, we both decided that the distance between us (we lived 100 miles apart at the time) was too far, neither of us wanted a long distance relationship. But something kept pulling both of back, and he sent me a message “Who’s your favorite driver?” (I’m a huge Nascar fan). We chatted on yahoo that afternoon, on the phone that night, and a week later had plans to meet for a real date. The rest is history. So to speak
Where did the name Batman come from?
Funny story, actually. When we first met, we lived 100 miles apart. We would spend our days at work on line chatting (yeah, I know…very productive days, but we both had jobs that allowed that freedom) and our drives home on the phone. He was driving 70 miles one way to work every day and with traffic, well, it could take him 2 hours to get home. We were on different cell phone carriers, and using up a butt load of minutes. So.. two weeks after we met, he added another line to his phone plan and got me a phone. “Now I can talk to you all day, whenever I want, and it’s free.” and I joked “Wow, I’ve never had my own personal hotline before.” It’s your own Bat-phone. From there, it was a logical jump that he should be Batman.
Who are the Forces of Evil again?
That is the name I have given my ex-husbands when they tag team me (and not in the good way). See at some point in the past, at separate times, they each claimed to love me and figured they loved me enough to marry me. Since then, I came to my senses and divorced each of them. At that point they figured I’d gone ape-shit insane, and they have at times conspired together to try and ruin me, destroy me, or at the very least just fuck with me. Oh, they do all of that individually too. It just becomes a real comedy of errors when they try and do it together.
So, individually, who are the Forces of Evil?
Individually they are C1 and Slug. At the beginning of my blogging life, they were originally named C1 and C2 because I have 2 ex husbands who have the same first name. I tell everyone, it kept things simple in bed. I never yelled the wrong name. But then again, I never yelled out anyone’s name but that’s an entirely separate issue altogether. Batman and I have had some less than pleasant (putting it mildly) dealings with C2, and Batman said he was a worthless Slug. And well, it’s hard to argue with that logic, and the name stuck. Since C1 was at one point in the military, I thought about changing his name to Major Asshole, but wasn’t comfortable giving him such a high rank when he truly didn’t deserve it.
How many kids do you have?
I don’t like to blog about the kids very much because well, growing up is hard and embarrassing enough without having your mom post it all over the internet for the entire universe to read. This is my blog, about me, not about them, but every now and then they do or say something funny, or brilliant or I just want to brag. I have given birth to three children, but I claim a total of 5. I have a son, Bo, who lives with his dad (C1) and two daughters, Tate and Newt who live with me (Slug’s daughters). The other 2? Batman’s son Scooter and daughter Princess.
If you could describe your life, how would you do that?
In a nutshell? A Jerry Springer episode. I have two ex husbands who have the same first name. I have a bio dad, and used to have a step-dad and they both had the same first name. Batman has the same first name as my sister’s husband. We have a thing for names. At one point, it was believed that my first ex husband (C1) was dating my second ex husband’s (Slug) mom. Slug’s grandfather on his dad’s side, and Batman’s grandfather on his mother’s side were brothers, making them cousins to some degree. (the two sides of the family never ever get together) Batman takes great pleasure in telling everyone he is related to my daughters and I emphatically claim that I am not related to him YET. If C1 had married Slug’s mom, then my son would have become his ex-step-father’s new step-brother and the step-uncle to his own sisters. Oh and just for fun, I am friends with Batman’s ex wife (I met her through him. Knew him first).
What is this about photography?
I have a not so secret dream to someday become a photographer. My cousins’ wives Melissa and Jennifer are photographers. I would love to some day make some money at it on the side. I know I am still a long long way from being as talented as they are, but you know they’ve been at it longer than I have, and worked harder. I hope someday when I grow up I’ll be as good as they are.
This isn’t your first blog is it?
Nope. You caught me. I started blogging here. But the Forces of Evil found me (specifically Slug’s nosy mother) and started feeding information half truths to them, and embellishing as she saw fit, and it caused a lot of additional problems in my life. So I moved to a new blog, where I thought I could have more control. But it turns out, while I had a little more control, I didn’t have enough, so I moved here. Here I have the privacy I so wanted before. Here I can post private posts and allow only those I approve to read them. I know that I can’t keep them from reading my blog altogether, but there are some things I can keep from them.
